The resurrection of Steve Fisher proves one thing: if you win, people forget and forgive. And while this article does cover briefly some of the improprieties* during Fisher's tenure at Michigan, I think not enough attention is paid to these coaches who have Final Fours vacated (Calipari) and at times are outright dishonest (Bruce Pearl). So congrats, Steve Fisher for doing well at San Diego State. Hope you're running a tighter ship there than you did at Michigan.
*My favorite UM violation story - the payments to players were exposed when one of the players got into an accident in a very nice car while hosting a recruit. That recruit ended up not going to Michigan, but rather Michigan State. His name: Mateen Cleaves. And the fates of those two programs diverged at that point.

Vaguely related....A family friend is a football scout for SDSU, so of course, he's into the rest of their athletics, including basketball right now.
For some reason, my dad (who cares less than I do about college basketball, and is named Jim) watched the SDSU / BYU game with him. I suspect beer was involved.
In any case, my dad now insists on being called "Jimmer" in said friend's presence.
