Return of the blog and a thought on Jay Cutler

It's time to give blogging a try again. We'll see how committed I stay.

But also, I need to say: lost in the backlash against Jay Cutler and the backlash against the backlash against Jay Cutler is the need to have backlash against how Jay Cutler played when he was healthy. He stunk. Bad. And that, to me, is the much bigger deal. Who cares if he maybe could have played - the Bears were better when he wasn't in there.

Sweet! The Return of the Close! Welcome back to blogland. Hey, when are you coming to town? Is it later in Feb?

PS You are correct. Cutler was downright horrific. He looked like the version of himself from the first quarter of the season. You know, when his stat line included (in 4 games) 1 TD, 5 INTs, and 19 sacks. 19!! (Ok, 9 of those happened in one game, but still)

All that eating dirt clearly took its toll.

Sorry, that was the more than just the first quarter of the season -- that was closer to the 2nd quarter of the season (games 4-7). But can you believe that he had a 4 pick, 4sack game against the godawful Washington Redskins? Unbelievable!
